Would having the tantalum capacitor's polarity flipped fry the LT1054?

Got a better power supply and realized that the tantalum capacitor’s polarity is flipped would this fry my LT1054? The chip gets very damn hot.

almost definitely, they usually explode if you put them in backwards

Yeah replaced the cap and chip and everything is dandy now although I can’t get my two board to sandwich.
