Do you guys know about the Una Corda?
A fantastic, odd piano with a sound to die for. If you want to go with a pure hardware setup you can get one for no more than 14 000€ + VAT. 
For the rest of us Native Instruments provide a fantastic Komplete sample library for a 100th of what a real Una Corda would cost. I got my license 50% off and that was one of my best purchases last year (yeah, the year I got into modulars). Highly recommended.
