[SOLVED] Soldering advice needed

Hi,

I’m building a Shruthi XT (previously having built 3 shruthi kits and an x0xb0x) and I’m having some difficulties soldering some of the ceramic capacitors.

As you can see on the middle of the photo, the solder isn’t sticking to the pcb rings.

Any ideas what I can do to get the solder to stick.

If the pad is connected to ground it takes a little longer for the pad to heat up.

The Ambika motherboard has a big ground plane which means you may need a bit more heat or a bit more patience than with previous soldering projects you might have done
