Is the Shades PCB supposed to have a ground plane?

I’m using the education edition of Eagle, and while I’m not super familiar with Eagle yet, when I open the Shades board it seems like the ground pins on the power header or the jacks are not connected to anything.

And if I for instance delete SW1 in the schematic, airwires pop up everywhere connecting all of the seemingly unconnected pins and vias on the board.

Is my version of Eagle silently deleting a layer? And are for instance the vias to the left of SW1 supposed to be connected to something?

Click the ratsnest button to fill the ground planes. They are not displayed when the board file is loaded.

Ah, thank you so much! Is that the purpose of all of the “unconnected” vias then, to connect the two ground planes together?

Clearly I have a lot to learn about Eagle.

Yes.
