Import/tax duties?

Hi I just wondered if above knew if you have to pay tax or import money when ordering from inside the eu? It would be from Germany to the UK

No.

VAT is already included within the EU and there’s no import duty. One of the perks of being in the EU.

One small thing, if you use a debit/credit card they sometimes charge you a currency conversion fee. But if you use PayPal they don’t, although their exchange rates are poor IMHO.

Very poor rates - when buying abroad on e*ay, the amount is displayed in my home currency as well. But the Paypal bill, even though e* and p* being essentially the same company, is always higher. It is very smart of them to claim that they do not charge fees and then more than make up for this with the exchange rate…

It’s no wonder the PayPal boss had the money to found the Tesla car company.

^ Which is probably nothing compared to what Elon Musk spent on SpaceX!
He’s quite a character. Comes across as slightly dim, but im sure he isn’t…

Umm, anyway! Yes, no import taxes within the EU. Which for us Brits is about the only good thing that came out of the whole EU shebang.

Not to derail this thread too much, but I deal with SpaceX in my day job and let me tell you, bright bunch of folks:
