How to use Stages sequencer?

Stages has an alt firmware that allows it to be used as step sequencer, but I can’t figure it out. Can anyone walk me through it?

There is a post on it, but I can’t follow this successfully. Stages: extended sequencer firmware

I also could not find any YT videos that explain it.

  1. Make sure you are updated to the latest firmware.
  2. Set up, say, one green and five yellows. Gate in to green. CV out from green. That’s pretty much it. Make sure the slider on the green is all the way down.

Got it - my mistake was not having the green slider right down. Thank you for your help.

If you patch a cv into the top of the green, you can pulse it to stop or restart the sequencer, which is pretty neat.

Yep, that was the issue. I did not have green slider right down.
