Garbled Characters LCD (Solved)

So I was playing around with my shruthi-1 that’s been working just fine since I built it months ago. I’ll be jamming and turning knobs, and then I’ll look down and suddenly everything’s all garbled. When I switch screens it seems to go back to somewhat normal but there is still a blinking cursor over whatever parameter I’m changing.

Could there be a short somewhere that might be causing this?

Maybe a bad solder point on one of the LCD lines?

Seems to have done the trick! There was a pretty crappy solder joint… I think it was when I readjusted the positioning of the LCD. Thanks for the hint.
