Any chance of a MI Modular setup?

Now that Im into the DIY stuff , some modules designed by Olivier and with plexi from Frank would be wicked cool!

Any thought or discussion ever been put towards this?

There’s one available in a few days.

Besides the existing range and Ambika/Anushri I don’t plan to release new DIY projects for a long time.

Perhaps the DIY element can be limited to expansion boards or options for the new products?

Any chance of a few more downloadable demos of the Anushri in action before the launch day pichenettes?

More on the FM and drum pattern sculpting in action would be great.

Martin

Today and tomorrow I’ll be building 2 kits as the final “dress rehearsal”. I’ll shoot a new video and record samples with one of them. Then the two build units will hit the store along with the kits.

Thanks!

I love this part of the build instructions " It is strongly recommended to align the notch of the IC socket with the notch on the symbol printed on the PCB." now if only I remember to put the chips in to match the notch! lol

re: no more DIY for a long time, thats too bad, I just thought making PCBs and plexi would give youa break from all the programming and troubleshooting :frowning:

PS: I never noticed all the plugs/outputs on the anushri before, cool!

Done that before. I just cut an even bigger notch in the other end.

hmmm, can anyone recommend any DIY modular sites?

These should help with your DIY Modular journey…

thanks i’Il take a look!

The MUffWiggler DIY forums are the road to perdition-you won’t make it out with your wallet in one piece (but you will build a great synth!)

Also Ken Stone’s site is a very good place to start…Clarke Robinson on Muffs makes Eurorack panels for most of ken’s boards.

I made it out alive, luckil there was too much information to process !

Ill wait til my micromodular gets here and learn modular synthesis that way , and if it still interests me I can revisit.

Now I think about it, I amscrewed no matter what I decide: Nord MM is awesome I look for a G1 or G2 , if I dont like it I head back to Muffs … :()

Well, when you are ready for a physical DIY Modular don’t forget Elby as well

Or start with easy to build friendly stuff from MFOS

If you get hooked you might be one of us who clones complicated old modular gear or toils with 100% DIY olde-alike panels etc.
