The BOM lists D1 on the SMR-4 board as a 1N4004, but my kit shipped with a 1N4001… Is it ok to use that instead or should I get a 1N4004?

The 1N4004 and 1N4001 only differ in “Peak Repetitive Reverse Voltage” “(see here)”:http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/1N%2F1N4001.pdf , both of them way higher than the Voltage your Wallwart should ever emit. So theres no problem using the 1N4001.

Is it possible to use either a 1N4007, 1N4002 or a 1N4004 instead of the 1N4001 on the anushri mainboard ?

1x 1N400x (large, power supply protection diode) at position D2. 1N4001, 1N4002, 1N4003, 1N4004 only differ by their current/voltage ratings, all are fine for this project.

^- Directly from the build instructions…

Yes, better gotta protect yourself against those 800V wall-warts!

Ow thanks!
I think the overload of solder smoke made me miss that in the instructions :stuck_out_tongue:
